Good morning! …That’s going to have to tide us over for most of the day. Today was supposed to be one of those really good days that I was only thinking might have some minor draw backs depending on how things went. As it turns out, nothing went at all, which just left me restless and incapable of productivity. Lemme explain:
*cough* I was supposed to have plans. That is to say, last night, in all the bowling figuring out type thing Pichel had invited me to come with him and some UADY kids to a party near Progreso in the afternoon. So I’m thinkin’ sweet, Hawaiian beach party in Mexico. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Get up 2 minutes before my alarm went off (note: 9:58) pick the room up (ie put laundry that I never put away on the shelves) and generally just got ready, had a bagel for breakfast. Actually once I was entirely ready I was fairly impressed. It was about noon which was around when I was expecting the phone call that was going to tell me when/where we were going to meet up so we could go. And then I had lunch at 2 with my host family… and tried to watch a movie around 3:30. At 4 o’clock I couldn’t stay in the house any longer so I went shopping.
Mexico has a gazillion shoes. Unfortunately, as is somewhat typical with me, I couldn’t find what I wanted. Actually I found a pair of boots that I really liked, only I needed them in a size larger. What luck. After hitting up one mall I went to another one and had no luck too. All the while, I had people (read: pig-headed male shmucks) staring at me, and honking horns, and “hello” (which note, is not hola). By the time I made it back to my room I was high strung (though Will did give me permission to kill a couple people).
Chelsea also on my way back called to see about going to Chris’s birthday party. At the time I really didn’t feel up to it, long day, disappointing day, bleh. I was actually glad I went though.
So we’ll skip to there: We got there and things were really chill. Sit back, chatting, good time. It would’ve actually been totally fantastic if I hadn’t gotten this txt message saying to call my mom. And then there was a little back and forth that I feel kinda bad about now because I thought I was being pranked when it was actually a Dad trying to get in touch with his daughter. =(
But we stayed til around 12:30 and then got home, and that was pretty much the day. I was definitely glad I went to the party though. I’m pretty sure that was the highlight for the day =D
Cheers, Kate <3

I hope you find that there was miscommunication that kept you from the "Hawaiian Mexican Beach Party". I'll be intersted to hear the details on that.
ReplyDeleteRemember winter is over so you probably don't need a pair of boots right now anyway. And besides it's one less thing you have to find space for in your suitecase. :) OHHHH that's right, you have plenty of space in your suitecase since I brought home 1/2 of the clothes you took with you hehehehe :)xoxo
Glad we figured out the misdirected text message.
Hope you have a GREAT week! Hey.....2 days and you are 1/2 way through!!
I love you every day Sweetie!! xoxo MOM :)

ReplyDeleteLove ya ~Papo
I hate it when I think I have plans and then they fall through. I know you had to be disappointed. Did Will offer to come there and kill a couple of people for you or just give you the permission to do the killing?? I am sure it was all just a misunderstanding...a bummer all the same, I know. Glad you got to go out later with Chelsea.

Well, he didn't offer to come do the killing for me, he just told me to do the killing for him...so...there's kind of some compromising there (story of my life haha)
